Oh girl, this must be your first child. I had a whole list of shows and movies I was going to watch on my mat leave. Guess how many I watched. I did finally get through one during an evening after I went back to work (6+ months later.) pride and prejudice. 2004 version :)
I’m confused. During my 6 month mat leave, I watched 15 seasons of Grey’s Anatomy. What did you do while nursing in the middle of the night?
Don't you get it?? PP is just a much BETTER mother than the rest of us. Her kid is definitely going to Harvard.
Pp here. Lol. I’m not a better mother- I clearly stated I had grand plans to watch many series. But once my first baby was born, boy were things a shock. I had a tough delivery and trouble nursing. Plus my baby didn’t sleep. Like, at all, not for more than 45 min stretches unless being walked, held, or driven somewhere. I spent most of my mat leave tethered to a pump or holding my son while he slept. Sometimes if the nap in my arms was a solid one, I got in some random episodes of a streamable show. But certainly nothing consistent, at no point in the day, unless it was during an overnight pump. And any time my son was sleeping for a short period of time, I was taking care of the rest of life- cooking, washing bottles, showering and maybe laying down myself.
