As you say, there is a high divorce rate among these types of couples - it was totally unrealistic that the husband wasn’t resentful about their lifestyle and ready for a divorce. Not only did he also have a high-powered career, but he was constantly left alone as the girls’ primary parent/caregiver. That kind of understanding relationship doesn’t last long, regardless of who’s the absentee parent. Ask me how I know.[/quote]
