Many children can take it from there.[/quote] While I don't disagree, I think this would be a good way to teach an easier language like Spanish. Spanish has lovely rules. English is a hot mess with irregular pronunciations. Take "was" and "has"- they don't rhyme. Or "Said". Teach your child to read in 100 lessons does wonderful phonics work, but also reading comprehension, guessing, memorization and looking at the picture to get the word right. [/quote]
