DD is interested in pursuing a career in conservation, possibly majoring in environmental science and policy in college. She’s enrolled in AP World History but considering switching into AP Human Geography. Anyone with experience to share?[/quote AP World is a more challenging course, with harder writing and a very broad coverage of content. AP Human Geo is a social science class and student's tend to enjoy it more. There is a wider range of skills taught in this course. AP Human Geo is an elective whereas your child will have to take a world history class for graduation (either AP World or Honors). Child could definitely take both courses during their school career. If that is the major they want to pursue, stay in AP World, and drop another elective class to take AP Human Geo.
