OP here.

I hadn't realized this before you mentioned it, but yes! It fits perfectly. Better than most of my other clothes, which fit fine, but you know, there's always something a little off somewhere. This fits like a glove at the torso, and the skirt part goes nearly to the ground, but not quite, which is exactly what I want. Also, it's really comfortable, which gives me more confidence.

I so wish I could find some other dresses with that cut!

You can try, but I’d suggest trying to get fabric content that is as a similar as possible with the dress you like.

Part of why it looks good and fits well probably has to do with the fabric content (many different varieties of knit and woven, with different fiber content (cotton, rayon, poly, spandex).[/quote]
