No real man would ever share his "vulnerable thoughts" and cop out of giving his DW something she desperately wanted and even talked about before marriage. And I'm the most EMO dad in the world, but that's the deal for men -- women are built to have children, we can't understand it, we support them in what they decide to do.  Full stop.  He should have never even told you his fears, let alone delayed as much as he already has.  4 years to get married.  2 years of dawdling and then saying "no kids"?  WTAF!!!

I don't mince my words, however. I told him point blank that no kids, no marriage.
