Scrolled too fast to see your clarification - if it is just the pump, call around for more plumbers. Depending on where you live, check more local forums for specific recommendations and reviews (eg Leesburg/Nova/ffx or other MD etc). We had a zoeller as well and didn't need the back up pump replaced, just the actual battery for the back up which we replaced the battery ourselves. You definitely don't need to pay $3k.[/quote]
