I posted above and my swimmer is at a power 5 program, so I do know the process.  It’s just how risk adverse you are.  When he applied, programs were being cut and there was a lot of uncertainty given COVID.  We wanted a backup plan.  I have a second swimmer being recruited now, and he’ll apply to have extra options that he probably won’t need as well.[/quote]
