They cost more because:
a) to pay for all the marketing
b) because being expensive is part of the marketing

I literally like my Veronica Beard jacket better because it’s more expensive than I would otherwise spend but still within reach. It creates a bias. We’re all monkeys okay cut me some slack.

Other things I like better even though it’s dumb:
1) expensive jeans even when they are ugly
2) clothes that are slightly too small for me (clothes that actually fit me are suspect)
3) clothes that are dramatically discounted (I can do this at the same time as the expensive thing in fact they work better when combined). [/quote]
