Early release is disruptive to the other students and the teacher. Don’t be selfish. If you want the sport, then home school your child. This is what some elite athletes, dancers, musicians, and actors do.
Let me fix that for you. Some homeschool. Others attend traditional schools that are willing to work with their unique schedules. Others attend less-conventional private schools that were created with kids like this in mind. Early release in elementary school doesn't have to be disruptive. The last 15 minutes of the day in a lot of elementary classrooms is finishing up work, cleaning up, packing up, etc. - new instruction isn't happening then. The student and teacher could have a system where the student knows when to pack up and slip out (or if needed with a silent signal from the teacher). If work isn't done, the student can (and I would say should) just pack that up, too, to finish at home as part of homework.
