About 225 per million in DC. Rates seems pretty close to me, and far above other cities. For context, Chicago in 2022 (for the FULL YEAR) had a murder rate of about 260 per million. While Baltimore's per capita numbers are higher, Baltimore is trending in the right direction while DC is not. That's pathetic considering how much wealthier the DC region is in general.[/quote]
