Can I request an IEP meeting before school starts?[/quote] You can also request that her IEP be changed to only include SPED services for certain classes. Example, if she is strong in math/science then have the IEP change to services for Language Arts and History, then her team taught/SPED listed teachers would only be for those two subjects.
My child has dyslexia but their team in MS decided that they really only needed services for Language arts. Simply because it takes them longer to get through reading passages and a bit longer to write. Their comprehension is through the roof. My child  also has some honors level classes, there is not an option in those classes to have SPED.[/quote]
