My DS, who is not in SPED, was in team taught GenEd classes within the past 2 years. They were for Math.
This just means there were some SPED kids in the class. A lot of kids have learning "disabilities" that are NOT related to ADHD, or behavioral. Dyslexia, for example has a wide range on its spectrum for learning disabilities. It is not a behavioral or intellegence issue, it is a way of learning issue or a need for more time. Often, there are "team" taught HS classes( 2 teachers 1 SPED and 1 Main). The Main teacher teaches all content, the SPED teacher assists and helps out SPED kids in the classroom if needed. The SPED teacher can also lend assistance to any of the general Ed kids in the class.
