LIKE SERIOUSLY?!? Are your brain cells okay? Or do you not understand the significance of grandparents? To some of us, our parents/grandparents/family members mean everything. What is homecoming/dance without family? This kid will get an opportunity to go to homecoming and dances again but what if this happens to be the last time he/she sees the grandparents. Life is not guaranteed! There are 4 years in high school. I would say to this parent......Ask your child? Let he/she decide. Whatever the decision, be okay with it. But don't feel guilty for going with the rest of the family to see your parents. You have 3 more years of seeing her off to dances/homecoming not to mention there is prom. Your kiddo will be okay.
