It’s not like the decline of dementia happens overnight, it’s a long drawn out process that takes years. And even as the decline gets worse there are still moments of lucidity. The absolutely worst part is they are aware of what’s happening and their increased limitations so it’s scary, and sad and frustrating. I wish there were an option other than waiting it out as it slowly takes you.[/quote]
