Co-op units tend to sell for less than condo units which make them a great choice for first time home buyers who plan to live in the unit. Less so for investors. My first property was a coop unit that was the least expensive 1BR for sale in the neighborhood when I bought it. Same when I sold it 4 yrs later for 2.5x what I paid for it. It was under contract in 3 days…they are a terrific option for the right buyer.[/quote]
