With affordabe care act now set to be the law of the land does it mean that the government will now pay for my nanny's health insurance?
No. The government only pays insurance for the elderly, the poor, and the disabled.
You mean only for people BELOW poverty - in VA, a family of three has to make less than like $35,000 approx. So then, i guess a family of 4 on $40,000 will have ot pay a $750+ penalty every year if they can't afford individual family plans at $800/month. This disgusts me. How does this law help poor people??????
Uh, that's not the definition used for the penalty. It is: "Income restraints: Tax penalty exemptions will be granted people for whom the lowest-cost plan option exceeds 8 percent of income and for those with incomes below the tax filing threshold, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation." So no, that family would in NO WAY be required to buy health insurance at 27% of their income. Reading is Fundamental
