I don’t care that he lost weight. Experts have degrees, not an N=1 and a social media following. Please do try to exercise some critical thinking. If you’re capable.
You should continue listening to people telling you can’t do anything. Especially experts. That’s a great plan for life in general.
I believe in evidence-based medicine. Did you also have a home birth?
Maybe you are the “at a population level” loser. Or not loser, since you cannot seem to fathom things in life are in your control, including weight loss. Maybe just continue being a loser not loser waiting for some evidence based passive solution.
The scientific illiteracy never ceases to astound.
There is plenty of scientific literacy with posters around here. There is also an understanding that the average member of the studied populations is 1) not very bright and 2) lacking in a variety of self control. That’s just the human population generally anyways Since you are so smart, how is it you are so far on the right of the informed and allegedly intelligent distribution yet so basic in your ability to maintain a healthy weight otherwise?
You know nothing about me or my weight but because you don’t have the evidence on your side, you retreat to insults. If weight maintenance related to intelligence or self-control there would be no obese doctors. But there are many, because it does not.
DP. And yes of course there are lots of obese doctors and "experts." There are different kinds of intelligence, and dismissing people who've lost/maintained significant weightloss as "not experts" is a pretty immature and ignorant take. The people who've been there, know the struggles, and have been able to overcome them successfully? They have a direct expertise and knowledge that most doctors lack. But I think the dismissiveness comes more from envy, to be quite honest.
If you don’t have data for a method of weight loss that is long term successful at the population level, you have nothing and are just another grifter hack. If you’re a grifter hack, you also will attack your detractors with ad hominem attacks.
The method that works for 99.9% of humans is "eat less, move more." That works for the "population level" everywhere, of every gender, race, ethnicity, age, etc. If you don't want to put in the work, then you're nothing but a grifter hack. If you're a grifter hack, then you will attack your detractors with ad hominem attacks. (I mean really pp, surely you can't be this hypocritical and must be a troll)
But it doesn’t. That only works, especially long term, in rare cases. Look I’m sorry to have to tell you that, cause I know you are very proud of your journey from obesity to normal weight, and I know you hate the phrase “population level” because you don’t understand what it means, but it’s the truth.
That's not quite honest. It works, 99.9% of the time, for all humans. It is a fact. Whether a person chooses to carry those habits long term despite life's interruptions and hardships is another story. But it is a scientifically proven formula that is evidence based, and works. Is it hard? Absolutely. But does it work? Yes, it absolutely does.
