Really? Bc my non-white husband and I live a neighborhood over and he is frequently pissed by people assuming he is a service worker - both neighbors and other workers/strangers  coming to the house. [/quote]
Yes. And I don’t doubt that has happened to your husband. I’ve had unpleasant experiences as well. People calling the cops on my family members for “breaking into my home” (feeding the cats while I’m away) and I have been confused for my white passing child’s nanny etc. But for starters they never moved into the property and owned it for what a month before the article came out in which time the wife while walking along was confused for her kids nanny (despite her being hispanic and her husband also being darker skinned) and her husband is also confused for being a worker? Whole situation reminds me of Dave Chappelle’s joke about Jussie Smollett.

And just using common sense most people who build just a family home for their own use would not pay that kind of money for a year down in that neighborhood for a tear down (Lyon village I think is the only Arlington neighborhood where that really happens).  I also am not against what they did as it’s their right to do with their property. But I just think it cheapens real experiences and I personally don’t believe them. [/quote]
