Arlington neighbors gave these people a hard time about possibly putting in multifamily units. Arlington voted for this kind of development, what did they expect? The hypocrisy is amazing. Even if the couple always planned to raze the house and flip it, so what. That's legal. So is building multiple units there. Boo hoo. Elections have consequences. When will people finally wake up.
What's your point? The people who voted for MM are fine with it. Two thumbs up for tearing down the old racist's house.
t If you live in Arlington you are on full notice that it is progressively governed and that missing middle incentives and other progressive programs are either currently present or will be. The neighbors can be completely up in arms all they want, and claim they didn't vote for it so NIMBY but the fact remains it's Arlington. So either move or deal. I have empathy for them as I am in Alexandria which is basically the same as Arlington. The city council here just rubber stamps everything that is super progressive. We have the same programs and changes headed our way. And I have come to the conclusion there is zero I can do about it and have just relented to the city's fate. We will be moving once our kids leave the nest. It is what it is.
