Huh? There wasn’t drama. I don’t like drama. That’s not attractive.
Breaking up with someone twice is drama. You’re (approximately) forty freaking years old, not 19!
Some people are able to have careful relationships without drama. Even the breakups were not dramatic. These were mature conversations both going in and on the way out. Much affection, not a lot of drama. We talked through everything as it happened and parted peacefully.
Wow you guys are so mature. Sounds like you had it all figured out. What are his *several* *serious* *personality problems* then?
Long history of serial infidelity that he claims to be recovering from. Self absorption. Not sure I can really trust him with sensitive personal information.
NP. Wait, OP -- is that serial infidelity something that happened when he was with YOU? Did he cheat on you but you took him back once and then broke up again? If so, I'm glad to know you're truly done. Please don't try to maintain a friendship or stay in touch or tell yourself, "Just a birthday text!" etc. You know who he really is. And OP, you can love a person like this, but love is not always enough. Where there is no respect or trust, love is not enough. Even if he didn't cheat on you but you know he was a serial cheater with others, his fidelity to you is not enough because you could never trust him. Block, delete, lose his number because further contact and "let's be friends," if that's in your head, are sure to suck you back in. I hope you really are peacefully broken up forever.
