This is absolutely insane to me. I'm not saying it's wrong or bad but I'm truly shocked by it. I love my husband but I would push him in front of a fast moving train if it meant saving one of my children. [/quote]

I agree and know exactly what you mean. I will (hopefully) spend the rest of my days with him. My (beloved) children will launch their own lives, forge their own paths, and choose their own soulmates. We will always be there for them, but I am going to spend a lot more years (God willing) alone with my husband than I ever spent raising the children. We will have an empty next at 49. Hopefully we have another 40+ years together after that. [/quote]
