no siblings got bumped as they had priority status going into the lottery and were already admitted. please remember, that child #1 never had a chance of being drawn in the first place and where we are, priority status for siblings is held in very high regard. i know this is a dc forum but i could find no other information on the web pertaining to this issue, so i decided to pose the question here. this family is not in dc and i imagine that state law could or might be different concerning sibling enrollment where this has happened. sorry, didn't mean to be fishy. just doing due diligence for a friend. again, thanks for your input.
Yes, and remember that child #1's odds of getting the #1 spot on the waitlist (had his/her paperwork been properly included in the lottery) were not good. And now that child has even been admitted. So all in all, this family ended up better than they could likely have expected. And I fail to see why this family, who has seriously WON the lottery feels it should get additional special treatment above the other eight families who are in the same situation. And I think this is getting fishier. Now they aren't even in DC? I don't buy it...you're just worried that people will figure out who they are now since you divulged that there are eight families on the waitlist that are "sibling of newly enrolled" and people can figure it out.
