Violent crime is actually DECREASING in many US cities.  DC is a major outlier in this regard.  Given the high number of law enforcement in the federal Capitol city, clearly something else at the policy level is going on.  It is important to ask hard questions and hold our electeds accountable here.  Crime apologists like you are dangerous.

The issue is on the prosecution side - DOJ is not bringing charges or is downgrading to misdemeanors. DC federal Judges have been very soft in recent years. DC elected AG has been pretty soft on teen criminals.
