LOL Korea and Japan are frosty with each other most of the time, never mind China.
Its amazing what a common enemy can do for relations. The US in its drive to start WWIII somewhere, by any means before China supplants it is causing a global realignment. The fact that the US also forces unnatural cultural practices on its client states is also alienating allies. Just look how quick the Saudis and Iranians reconciled. That enmity is much deeper and goes much farther back than anything in East-Asia.
Oh again with the cultural argument. Saudi Royals live it up abroad, and domestically their cultural practices are just as locked up as ever. Meanwhile Shiites and Sunnis are just as divided as ever. Saudis and Iran are making up because Iran needs friends due to sanctions, and the Saudis want them to stop funding the proxy war in Yemen. Everybody except Israel praised the deal, US included.
