I do agree that the Bethesda monologue, including this claim, was a bit delusional. In any event, Marshall, Langley, McLean, and Madison are the four high schools that cover Vienna (so where your children go depends on where you are within Vienna). So the idea that somehow schools in Vienna are academically inferior than Bethesda schools is delusional (if anything they are better, but I personally think saying “on par” is more appropriate because you can’t go wrong with Bethesda or Vienna schools if you are a good parent).
