Penn. Should have realized from the tour guide, that filling multiple boxes such as 1st generation, Hispanic, single parent, Jewish household (her self description) was more important to Penn than 3rd generation legacy. It’s OK their loss when someone else gets the Presidential library.
This is fake. If you were really going to do a library you know to do it in conjunction with the application.
If OP could afford to fund a library, then their DC would've been on the development list. Our DC was a 3Gen applicant to a different, but comparably competitive, school and DH learned that alum spawn are on a list, so they get a look, but then kid needs to sell themself to cross next hurdle. Fortunately, they were able to do so. Also have friends with kids who got into Penn. In those instances, both 2Gen. One family TOTALLY loaded yet any school would want that kid. Other kid probably also seen as some sort of a development case, but not similar net worth. That kid largely academically qualified, but nowhere near the gem of the first kid.
