Got all the emails and the letter in the mail -- kid only received the academic award that half the school got, and the SSL award that half the school also got. The real bummer though is that my kid has 3 teachers who are not primarily 8th grade teachers -- and none of those 3 were given an opportunity to give awards to their 8th graders. If 3 kids in Math 8 get to win awards, I don't know why my Honors Geometry student is ineligible just because their teacher only has 1 class of 8th graders.[/quote]
