It’s that ACPS already faces challenges it cannot manage, and it’s answer has often been experimentation that has been not only unsuccessful but also detrimental to students. There are any number of examples, but the 4x4 schedule ACHS implemented after Covid comes to mind. Truly one of the most poorly thought out ideas that, of course, was abandoned after one year. Same goes for “lunch and learn,” ask abandoned after a year or so. Instead of embracing tried and true solutions that have shown results, such as smaller schools and classrooms, they’re constantly looking to “innovate.” And it’s the kids, and the teachers, who suffer.[/quote]
