I took her out to have her hair done while we were there she told me her rings had gone missing. My heart missed a beat one of the rings is family heirloom and very valuable. The rings are precious to mum and she was always very protective about them never taking them off always checking she had them. 
She was crying and said they didn’t really take it seriously she has the start of Alzheimer’s. I rang the manager immediately and said if they are not found I will involve the police. £20 also went missing fro her purse a couple of weeks earlier. I didn’t make a fuss about that S I thought it wasn’t much. 
Carers are trained and told not to accept gifts from vulnerable people it is obvious a watch as mentioned in another post or jewellery are sentimental and valuable heirlooms. I didn’t want to take Mum’s rings away as she wouldn’t want me to it was the last bit of her identity taken. [/quote]
