Some schools are actually harder to transfer into than applying as first years, and others are not quite as hard statistically. In addition, the demographics are different, potentially not being evaluated against thousands of other over-achieving students from the DMV. Much could be said about the differences between transfer versus regular admissions that are beyond my knowledge or the purpose of this thread. That being said, it's not easy and takes a lot of work.[/quote]
