It's not irrational to have that preference, but it is irrational to delay getting healthcare for that preference. Perhaps we need to do a better job getting the word out that PAs and NPs are great for most situations. Also, we need to recognize that there is a massive doctor shortage so doctors really need to triage the way they use their time. I don't think OP's doctor's office did a bait and switch, I think the doctor just can't make the appointment because there are now higher priorities. The office should have made her aware of that possibility beforehand, though. [/quote]
