We went to the first night in Nashville. Nothing beats that. But like others have said you really need to know the merch situation before going in -- don't be first or last and 4 hr wait is common. NJ got some great songs and it is getting great reviews. We had friends at every night and they are still buzzing about it. But if you go in thinking that Taylor is doing the same type of tour as before... I mean I don't know what to say. I have been lucky enough to see her at small venues and shows since 2006. Yes she has evolved and each tour has been an evolution. She is so much more mature and Eras reflects that. She gives her fans everything at these shows. What more could you ask for?
It is quite different from earlier tours. You can tell she feels more eyes on her. I, honestly, like to see a perfectly-oiled machine run. I’ve been behind enough curtains to know that hitting every cue, keeping everything on time, requires a ton of human effort. It might feel like a machine, but it can only be done through very, very human work. I respect that and I appreciate it. But not everybody sees it that way, I know. I’m sorry you didn’t have the experience you wanted.
