Some policies are for drivers. Those policies allow you to use your own insurance, for example, when driving a rental car. Other policies cover the car regardless of who is driving. And other policies have covered drivers, plus guest drivers authorized by the policy holder. You need to check the terms of your policy for what it covers. In this day and age of a la cart insurance policies, every policy will be different. The insurance companies have done away with blanket policies in many cases.[/quote]
