Yeah, I disagree with some of Jinger’s beliefs (I’m pro-choice and pro-trans rights for example and I’m pretty she she’s very much not).  But I don’t think she’s a horrible person and if having a personal relationship with Jesus is how she’s unpacking a childhood full of religious trauma more power to her.[/quote]

That’s not what I said, you’re assuming. Have you read the book? I said it’s horrible bc it’s dull, lacks narrative (very surface level) and she wastes 50% of content with scripture over and over.

My opinion on the book has nothing to do with her beliefs. I thought it was important for folks to understand her current belief system. Many incorrectly assume she is reformed but she’s not. She’s “disentangled” from Gothards strict teachings but is still VERY conservative.
