What I like about B&R is there hit the suitcase and it compacts immediately. This is bomb awesome! I can fit more in this than any other suitcase incl travelpro. It is that amazing to me anyway. We only do carry ons and I need to max my ability to pack as much as possible - it's the only suitcase I can get 50L in - love the front umbrella pocket and that it's a flat interior to pack "cleanly." I only have one the rest of my fam has Delsey but I would not part with mine. I don't know it's worth it unless you're specifically looking for that kind of space otherwise however. I don't know it's that much better than other luggage but for space, hands down I accept the price for the value it gives me.
I’m the travelpro platinum fan above, and I am not sure I fully understand your post (are you Australian?) but what model are you talking about? I am intrigued.
OP here - I'm not Australian LOL I wanted to express how happy I am at their compression expansion - https://www.briggs-riley.com/collections/cx-compression-expansion I have this bag and I like the space it offers me because I pack it chock full and just press down and I don't have to worry about it being too big. All other bags I can expand sure, but it's not really compressed. I had a bag with a compression (like Away) board built in and actually hated it. It was easier just to pack full without it. I like this model as you don't actually have to worry about how you pack, it compresses for you automatically. EASY.
