Expensive private colleges & a couple state schools (instate too, such as W&M) are expensive.

I live in DC, so I realize I consciously chose to live in a location without good in state options.  That said, as exemplified here, even solid state options can be pricey.  Our lowest cost option (Pitt with 5K/year merit plus DCTAG (10K/year towards out of state tuition)) would have been 35K/year.  That is not bad in my mind but it is still $140K over 4 years, which is a lot of money.  [/quote]

really? I thought they are in line with others. UC, UVA are more expensive OOS and UNC is about the same. UTA is probably cheaper but not by much. Umich is probably the most expensive one for OOS.[/quote]
