I agree.  We have done private school (Big Three) and a MoCo MS magnet, and the magnet was a bigger challenge to a GT kid.[/quote]

Beg to disagree. We turned down a top 3 for a magnet and haven't looked back. The downside to the magnets is that you may have to specialize in math/science or communication arts, although the third choice is IB at Richard Montgomery. [/quote]
