Has anyone left BVR before 3rd grade? What school did you go to? And were you happier with the other school or did you regret leaving?
What do you want to leave BVR? We want to apply there, what is the problem?
Only complaint I’ve heard is it’s not very academic. So 4th grade might be an awakening unless you go to another slow glide path school.
We are starting there - what does "not academic" mean? Will we have to do prep outside of school for the NCS entrance exam?
no, you’ll be fine! if your child isn’t a good fit for NCS/STA (this does happen to a handful of students) you’ll know early enough in the admission process. the test isn’t difficult acc to my child and others. my daughter has done well in her several years at NCS and was well-prepared. it’s not an easy school by any means but most girls from BVR do just fine.
PP- thanks!! Kiddo starts in the fall and we are excited and nervous! Ultimately it was hard to choose between two schools but Beauvoir won out because of the relationship between the Cathedral schools.
