Yes, there are some areas of the city that are less safe, but pretty much any area a tourist or visitor will go is fine. The sports complex has a heavy police presence during events, just bc there’s so much congestion, and the parking lots are fully staffed with dozens of employees. That said, I’d send him to Chickee’s and Pete’s, the local sports bar/restaurant that’s about two blocks from the stadium. He can park there and eat and drink to his heart’s content. Once upon a time they had a free shuttle between the restaurant and stadiums called the taxi crab (named after their crab fries) but tbh I haven’t been in awhile and don’t know if they still run it.
