Also part of our problem is that we are not part of a larger state. An aspiring politician has few possibilities on the horizon. You cant run for governor or senator. You gotta wait till Norton retires before you can even think to run for that politically deformed delegate position. [/quote]

I agree but I think the field would open if the DC delegate position had any power, I'm not sure Eleanor would be able to keep the seat. There are plenty of people that think she should go but why bother running for a position that has zero power.[/quote]
