No way 4.6 is top 5%. Grade inflation is huge. Mclean high school doesn't even publish the grade bands on the school profile sent to colleges. That is a huge red flag that GPAs are meaningless. OP, what is your kid's unweighted GPA. That is what UVA cares about. Not everyone from northern va can go there. They need to admit kids from all over the state as well as a bunch of full pay OOS because the state of VA won't adequately fund universities.[/quote]
