[/quote] I think that they try to enroll around 160 kids for 9th grade, depending on attrition in the upper grades. They shoot for about 600 kids total. This year they admitted 190 for 9th grade and put 150 on the wait list. They know that they will go at least 30 deep on the wait list. Last year, they went to 69 on the wait list, after admitting 170. They will probably go to the 40s or 50s this year on the wait list. Did 160 kids of the pool of 500 decline interviews or withdraw? Or did Walls just cut the wait list off at 150 this year, knowing that they won't go beyond about half of the list?[/quote]
