I'm going to go out on a limb and say the NATO part sank her. It was an emotional over-reaction to temporary events, with long-lasting consequences.

Somewhere around 25% of the Finnish electorate still opposes NATO membership, and they have no real home in the major parties. Those 25% are on the far end of left and right. You don't think in an election where the difference between first and third place is less than 1%, that these people can't swing an election? I would also characterize the Finns party as a at best a half-hearted supporter of NATO membership, who will probably agitate for leaving NATO in less than a year. [/quote]
