Where are you getting the idea my student applied RD?  My student applied ED1 and was rejected.  Not a single acceptance among 8 privates in our city ED (not DC) which is not typical.  I think Vandy wasn’t looking to the private schools as much this year for admissions.[/quote]

First and foremost, I don’t know you or who you are talking about, but it’s really crappy of you to be calling another kid crappy. How would you feel if someone called your kid crappy. And how do you know anything about this kid you say is crappy?  From your own crappy kid?
Second, Vanderbilt admits to different schools. The kids who get in to the education or music school will likely have lower stats than kids who get into engineering, for example. 
And my kid did not apply to Vanderbilt so I have no skin in the game. [/quote]
