[/quote] Not PP but our child's HS school didn't give awards (at all). I didn't notice until college application time that there were kids from different schools with all these awards to report. Looking back, I think the bigger issue in the complete absence of awards is that our school is such a grind and it'd be nice for kids to have something positive coming back at them other than the grade for the work. And not in the "participation award" vein - but real meaningful achievements to celebrate within the community other than sports titles.[/quote]
