I'm fat but have a ton of muscle underneath my flab. All three generations of women in my family on both sides are thick. I was destined to be fat, but I'm still fine being active and such.
If you want to challenge the notion that you are destined to be fat, listen to Katrina Ubell's podcast episode 15
Not PP but thick does not always equal fat. Does the podcast touch on body shapes outside of the Caucasian female? Ex: Serena Williams is not a size 0 but is extremely fit.
Yes, I find this disheartening. It appears that the ideal Caucasian female body type is slender, with small breasts and bottom or complete devoid of one. Extra points if they have a thigh gap, concave stomach, or lean muscles that have no fat covering them. While it is true that 70% of the population does not look like that, that body type occupies most of the brain when thinking of someone who is fit, attractive and competent as it does transcend into the workplace. I have many friends of various ethnicities and some of the fittest are not slender but maybe average and have excellent muscle tone and low BMI. A few of my friends do have this body type and they eat very clean and walk every day. One is a avid cyclist.
