Then go private. Who or what is stopping you from pulling your child out of the public system? money? Find assistance, or downsize and use your money for tuition. Who's being illogical? You have no clue as to how the system works. We are given the curriculum to teach. We cannot change it. Many are given just the bare bones right before school starts, which means that there are not even enough resources to cover the first unit. Quit with the BS. Until YOU'RE the one in the classroom surrounded by these frameworks, don't offer your "wisdom" or your criticism. You're lacking critical thinking skills. In fact, you can't even operate on a concrete level.
You can't white wash facts. Most elementary school teachers are ill-equipped to teach math hence the over dependence on a curricular "prop" template for a subject that hasn't changed over the last century when they feared the subject in high school. Elementary school math and problem solving hasn't changed in a century therefore moaning and groaning about lesson plans is ridiculous. The real issue is the teachers have to relearn basic math (something they never did when they had the chance to do as students) before they can even teach it. That's the problem. That's why execution of curriculum 2.0 is a mess and many kids are stuck waiting for the teachers to learn ... then teach.
