[/quote] I just don't think it's appropriate to ask for cash at all if you are basically requiring people to pay thousands of dollars to come to your wedding. If you are close to the couple you don't have much of a choice. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea is a shared adventure, I don't like the lack of tact or appreciation for the fact that they picked an extremely expensive location. We all live in DC, so why not have it here or close by and ask for cash? No problem with that - we would have been able to actually enjoy it.[/quote]
