Can we talk about your job performance in an online forum, OP? Principals and teachers didn’t get into this work to be publicly dissected. Your post here is out of line and rude. If you want to know about the school, go take a tour and talk directly to people who currently attend or work there. Hell, gossip all you want at the local park or pool. But an anonymous forum is not okay.
Breathe in, breathe out. This is DCUM. And FWIW, I think she’s done a great job. Very approachable with my kids, see her at every event, does all the spirit week themes, etc.
+1 I was initially nervous about the transition, but she's been great from what I've seen. Probably helps that she was the asst. principal for the last year (or two?) and already knew the school/community. I agree that she's very accessible, engaged, at all of the PTA/school events, and also seems to know so many of the kids by name. The schools just got 5-stars on the MSDE ratings released last week (FWIW). Not seeing/feeling any differences form the year before. Like her predecessors, she is continuing to make lemonade out of the lemons that MCPS has burdened the school w/ (when it comes to enrollment). Fingers crossed that she gets the permanent appointment.
